At just 23 years old, Edmund Zheng is driven by a relentless curiosity for life’s experiences. Currently on a post-college gap year, he is exploring the many states of consciousness that exist across cultures, learning different ways not just to travel, but to live fully. His journeys and side quests have taken him to 41 countries and yielded the most fulfilling experiences—whether it's been climbing volcanoes with lifelong friends, meditating in silence for 10 days, or hypnotizing strangers to stop smoking.
From a classic American childhood in Oklahoma to studying at Yale to now backpacking across the world, his journey has been anything but ordinary. Through it all, he’s cultivated a fascination with the subconscious mind—how it shapes perception, memory, and human potential—leading him to explore the world of hypnosis and how it can help others.
Edmund holds a B.A. in Global Affairs from Yale College, and speaks five languages: English (U.S.), Mandarin, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. He is currently based in France.
"It is through many experiments made with precision, in order to arrive at the truth... that we advance gradually and arrive at simple theories, useful to all states of life."
-Napoleon
